Story

CHAPTER 1: The Best in Town

When I launched my first burger joint in downtown Atlanta, my main goal was to serve up top-notch grub.

My dream was to make the best burger and french fries in Atlanta.

I made sure to use only the freshest ingredients and later it became my obsession.

Every morning, we had fresh baked local bakery buns delivered, grounded our own beef, fresh cut French fries, tempura battered chicken fingers, and all other menus were prepared hand made. 0 Frozen products.

The restaurant’s fries became legendary. The best russet potatoes were cut every morning, following a meticulous process of rinsing in cold water and blanching/fried twice to ensure golden, crispy perfection.

This commitment to traditional cooking methods set “Burgers & Friends” apart in a world of quick fixes.

The open kitchen reflected my belief in transparency and quality.

“If it’s not good enough for my kids, it’s not good enough for my customers.”

My mindset gained trust with customers and fueled my team and I to put our hearts into every meal, creating a home-cooked, American classic vibe.

My aim was not just to match the American burger standard but to exceed it, crafting burgers that would leave a lasting impression.

CHAPTER 2: The Pivot

When COVID-19 transformed bustling downtown Atlanta into a ghost town, I saw a canvas for reinvention.

Shifting from Atlanta to Colorado Springs, my partners and I brought to life “Tokki Colorado,” the area’s first Korean and Japanese Jazz Tapas Bar.

Here, the rich flavors of Korean and Japanese cuisines met the soulful rhythms of jazz, creating an unparalleled dining experience.

My strategic move, informed by my Atlanta experiences, identified Colorado Springs as ripe for introducing Korean culture.

My business acumen strategies centered on prioritizing authenticity and exceptional customer service.

This approach created memorable customer experiences and a successful business model.

Tokki’s Instagram reached 1.5k followers on Instagram 4 months after grand opening.

With the right brand, authenticity, creativity, backed by honesty we started to make our names on Colorado’s food scene.
